Summer Programs For Scouts & Venturers
We are now accepting reservations for the summer of 2022!

Summer Programs For Cub Scouts & Webelos

We are pleased to announce the addition of Gary Hazard to our TVSR Camp Staff this summer.

Gary joined Scouts in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania with his son in 2002 and became a Den Leader and Cubmaster with Pack 28.

When his son crossed over to Troop 143, he became the Scoutmaster. Even though his son aged out and Eagled in 2014, Gary stayed with the Troop until he retired as Scoutmaster in 2018.

He and his son both joined staff at Camp Sinoquipe in 2009. He served as Dining Hall Steward, Kitchen Manager, Camp Commissioner and Camp Chaplain. Previously to that he was Cub Camp Director for Webelos Woods, Camp Akela and Family Camp programs at the same camp.

In 2019, he was asked to serve as Scoutmaster for Troop 95 in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania and he remains in that position today.

Gary serves his council as Roundtable Commissioner and has had in person attendance of over 100 people numerous times.  Gary also serves on the District Training team, Vice Chairperson of the Tuscarora District for Mason-Dixon Council.

He served as a Program Director and Camp Director for an independent Scout Camp 2012 to 2015, and was a Camp Ranger for a private camp 2015~2020.

He completed Wood Badge in 2006, was inducted into the Order of the Arrow in 2007, was part of a Philmont Crew in 2010, two Sea Base Crews in 2011 & 2016 and participated in National Camp School at Hawk Mountain in 2017.

He is currently the Kitchen Manager for all events at the Cumberland Valley Antique and Engine Show in South Central Pennsylvania and caters wedding receptions as well as running his own food truck.

His Eagle Scout son is married to his high school sweetheart, a Sargent in the Air Force (stationed in Ft. Worth, Texas), and he is fortunate enough to have two grandsons.

He is looking forward to be a part of staff at Treasure Valley Scout Reservation this summer.

We are fortunate to be gaining not only an experienced chef, but a veteran scouter all the way around. We are looking forward to working with Gary Hazard this summer and welcoming him into the TVSR family!
